But come on, we both know that it's most likely because of the nostalgia factor. Or maybe you're just in for a game that you can complete in 30 minutes by inserting a handful of virtual coins. Maybe you have an interest in brawlers, and want to trace back the roots of the “punch a lot of people in the face” genre. (The game also has an interesting “Caravan Mode” that rewards the highest score after 5 minutes of play, and is perfect for the Switch). There are more: maybe you're a fan of classic arcades, and you want to compete for high scores online. (Today, Double Dragon's enemies are more likely to remind you of Freddie Mercury than street thugs.) At least, that's the most likely scenario for playing Double Dragon. You fire up Double Dragon, and you both have some good co-op brawling time–reminiscing about your teenager years, fighting with the stiff commands, and high-kicking badly-dressed bad guys who're straight out of a Schwarzenegger movie.
